Why is stainless steel so popular with people looking at bakeware? Well lets start off by saying that there isn’t really anything wrong with ceramic bakeware or silicone bakeware but stainless steel bakeware is more robuts and long lasting than just about any other type fo bakeware.

The downside of this is that it can be a bit expensive, in fact stainless steel bakeware prices can be downright scary. But take a minute to think about what you want from your  bakeware sets, you want them to last a long time, not get ruined in the usuall hustle and bustle of the kitchen and if you accidently drop one you do not want to spend the next week finding bits of it that you missed sweeping up.

There is a good reason that professional bakeware is almost always stainless steel, it lasts. So while stainless steel cookie sheets will cost a lot more they will also last a lot longer. I have cookie sheets that I got from my mum and I am hoping that I can pass them onto my daughter along with the stainless steel muffin tins and other  stainless steel cookware that I use on a regular basis.

Buy Quality
Like any product there are different levels of quality of stainless steel bakeware. If you are going to be using them on a regular basis you should be willing to pay for the best you can afford. Look at norpro stainless steel bakeware or kaiser stainless steel bakeware and do not forget to pay a visit to your local Bosch cookwear shop if there is one in your town.

Baking is supposed to be fun and it is something that will create a lifelong family memory if you include your children in the process. When you buy stainless steel kitchen items you can be reasonably sure that they will last long enough for you to pass them down to your daughters (or sons) and they will remember you each time they get them out and bake a cake for their family.

You do not need professional quality cookie sheets or muffin tins but you do want to buy something that will last.
